  • Are you naturally curious, resourceful, and passionate about supporting Caribbean businesses and leaders? At CBN, we need to stay abreast of all things Caribbean - including businesses, products & events. Join us as a Research and Discovery Intern to help uncover and spotlight the innovative brands, trailblazing CEOs, and groundbreaking initiatives shaping the Caribbean and its diaspora. Your research will directly contribute to CBN’s mission of connecting and amplifying Caribbean excellence.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct research to identify emerging Caribbean brands, businesses, CEOs, and initiatives across various industries and conduct outreach accordingly

    • Help Maintain our organized database of discovered businesses, contacts, and key information for CBN’s internal use.

    • Monitor social media platforms, industry publications, and news sources for relevant trends and stories.

    • Provide insightful summaries and recommendations for potential collaborations, blog features, or community outreach opportunities.

    • Collaborate with the CBN team to prioritize and explore specific focus areas.

    Qualifications

    • Strong research skills with the ability to gather and organize information from a variety of sources (web, social media, publications, etc.).

    • Passion for Caribbean culture, business, and innovation.

    • Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and basic familiarity with database organization.

    • Excellent written communication skills to present findings clearly and concisely.

    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    • Previous experience in research or market discovery is a plus but not required.

    Time Commitment

    • 10-15 hours per month

    • Weekly email check-ins to share progress and insights.

    • Monthly virtual meetings to discuss findings, trends, and recommendations.

  • Are you a creative soul with a passion for design and storytelling? Each year, we create thousands of graphics for our brand. If you have some solid Canva skills, help us manage things on this creative front. Join us as a Graphic Design Intern to help CBN bring its vision to life through visually compelling graphics. Your work will play a key role in amplifying Caribbean businesses, leaders, and culture across various platforms, helping us make a lasting impact.

    Responsibilities

    • Design graphics for social media posts, email campaigns, and blog features that align with CBN’s brand identity.

    • Create eye-catching visuals for marketing materials, such as event flyers, banners, and presentations.

    • Collaborate with the CBN team to develop graphics for special projects, including reports, print materials, and promotional campaigns.

    • Maintain consistency in branding across all design outputs.

    • Opportunities for PAID projects/work

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar platforms.

    • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, typography, and color theory.

    • A portfolio showcasing previous design work (professional or personal projects are welcome).

    • Ability to balance creativity with adherence to brand guidelines.

    • Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.

    • A passion for Caribbean culture and a keen interest in supporting its business ecosystem is a plus!

    • Biweekly virtual meetings to discuss ongoing projects and brainstorm new ideas.

  • Are you passionate about storytelling and skilled in crafting compelling content? Join us as a Content Writer and help amplify the voices of Caribbean creatives and small business owners through the CBN platform. Your words can make a real impact by connecting, inspiring, and empowering our community!

    Responsibilities

    • Create one engaging blog post per week for the CBN Business Blog, showcasing topics that resonate with our audience.

    • Provide thorough proofreading and editing support for various CBN projects, including email campaigns, print materials, website content, and social media posts.

    • Take charge of the monthly CBN email newsletter by curating and crafting high-quality content that aligns with our mission and values.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience or majoring in journalism, marketing, or similar fields.

    • A strong portfolio showcasing previous work, including examples of blogs, articles, or other written content.

    • Strong grammar, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to CBN's voice and tone.

    • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with a remote team.

    Time Commitment

    • 10-15 hours per month

    • Weekly email check-ins to stay aligned on content priorities.
